Poem Commentary

This is dedicated to "runners" like me

Run

Watch out, love, watch out.
Don't let your tears blind you as you run.
Faster; run faster.
Your fears are closing in behind you.
Don't let them get you.
You've ran from everything all your life.
JUST RUN.
I'll be here when you're done.
I'll be waiting; take your time.
When you find what you're running to,
maybe you'll face what you're running from.
Until the love; run.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
