Sacrafice of Happiness

Sacrafice of Happiness

I'm not with you for any love I have for you,
I'm with you because it's the right thing to do.
My true love is out there but doesn't can to see,
You love and kiss all over me.
I'm not with you because of what I see,
I'm with you because everyone says I should be.
Sometimes I just want to leave like a thief in the night,
The reasons I'm here just aren't right.
I'm not with you for the joy we share,
I'm with you only because you want me there.
You do absolutely nothing to my heart,
I have to say something to break us apart.
I'm no longer with you and I breathe a sigh if relief,
I'm glad to not be with you, and not have any grief

I like this poem, strong enough to know what you want, to weak to face the confrontation of leaving, relief when the other person leaves of their own accord. Nice piece.

thank you for the comment and the rating!

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
