    sacrifice

    Sacrifice thy time

    To help thy neighbor

    Yet be used

    By thy neighbor

    Sacrifice thy love

    To heal thy friend

    Yet get backstabbed

    By thy friend

    Willing to help

    At all cost

    Willing to shelter

    At the cost of your safety

    You try and try

    Yet all they want

    Is more and more

    Kindness is weakness

    Caring turns to hating

    You think you know

    Someone you call friend

    Until they don’t need you

    Until they want more

    until you have nothing

    More they need

    Until you have nothing

    More to give

    Then they turn their backs

    Or come after you in hatred

    Sacrifice thy heart

    To show the world

    Yet no one is watching

    No one cares

    Sacrifice thy self

    To save a life

    Yet no one thinks of you

    No one wishes to

    I know exactly how this feels, but you explained it so well that you can almost make somebody who hasn't experienced this feeling feel it. Great write.

    thank u. someone i thought was a friend who turned out to be a fake. tried to almost get me really hurt.

    this is for those who have opened there arms to help some one they think is a friend, an yet get hurt because they were used or attacked because they had nothing else to give.
