    Save me

     please save me from his hurt, my guilt, and all his pain
    i never wanted this to happen, to bring him so much suffering.
    i knew his feelings all along and still i chose another
    i can never forgive myself for inflicting this harm on him
    it must make me heartless for giving him up
    for someone nowhere near as loving or it just makes me
    a complete and utter fool.
    i'm shallow and i'm stupid but this he already knows
    he says he loves me still and will wait for me
    forever
