Savoring The Warmth Of Every Sun

Savoring The Warmth Of Every Sun

If I write a poem for you

It’s because you inspire me too.

How sad to be so inspired

Knowing that’s this my own demised

Alone again and childless too

I get no comfort from anything but you.

I love you and that is true

A long last love, yet I’m blue.

Across the ocean beyond the sea

You’ll take your time, as it should be

Yet I feel the pain of love on hold.

Nothing lost or nothing gained

Words written, yes they are bold.

Promise of coffee, cake and tea,

Sitting in the garden we would be.

Sadly embracing, knowing our past

These loves, this joy, will it last?

A sad silly girl I must be,

To love you in spite of what I see.

Love and joy fall fresh on us

Let bygones be, this is a must

Am I too blind to see, holding on

Just let the past be gone at last

Thou hearts are tender, always.

Your words are divine, spilling out

Like a father or mentor of mine.

Wise beyond years of every kind.

Nothing ventured nothing gained,

I take your love, even with the pain,

Swallowing pride and being tamed.

Lord Vanderpons I’ll be forever yours.

Not expecting the future will be without rain.

I take your love, knowing it’s true

And ignore bitterness that makes me blue.

The only thing that matters is you

You are true and our love though rocky

Will evolved into something less blue.

I’ll never be any happier without you.

You paint a splendid picture in words. to me it says true love which is unconditional even when we see the faults. Truly enjoyable.

A simple but poetic love story that displays the poets unique style of writing. Unbridled but lovely in its word selection.

This is very sweet..I like the part about the Promise of eating coffee ..cake or tea..in the garden. What a pretty picture it paints. Sounds like myself actually. Unconditional love ..we love someone despite the Ugliness we each can carry..failures..things said and many mistakes. This is what u wrote..Very inspired

Thank you, it is heartbreaking knowing that you have love but can’t yet be together. After looking so long for that special someone, finding him and then having to wait until who knows when. He is that missing part in my life. I love him dearly. He has such a beautiful garden. We once had tea there.. I wish someday again soon. Best regards, The Cat’s Meow.
