    Say goodbye to me

     This game we play has got to end,
    I am taking you for a ride,
    I know how much you care for me
    I know you'd do anything
    Just to see me smile
    And you know I love you 
    But I can't be in love with you
    You are one of my dearest
    I hold you close to my heart
    But I can't give it to you
    I have to end this drifting
    We can't pretend its working
    Cos it's really not
    The door you want to open
    Has been sealed years ago
    And no amount of loving
    Can open what can't be found
    There are no breaks to let you in
    But still you pound on the walls
    Surrounding my grieving soul
    I don't want to hurt you, never,
    But you ignore my words
    Time after sordid time
    Pretending your every touch
    Melts a portion of my pain away
    I am too broken for you
    To spend your days loving
    Too much baggage to forget
    And too many years to remember
    For anything you do to change me
    So here where you never come
    I write the words 
    You don't seem to understand
    Hoping thoughts can drift
    Through the very air
    To your dreaming heart
    And let you go 
    Swiftly to someone more 
    More than me
    And my frozen tears
