Scarlet Rain

Poem Commentary

This is Part 2 of Scarlet Tears.

Scarlet Rain

She runs near and she runs far,
The wind take her where it may.
Sticks and stones, biting her skin,
Just like blades in her fray.

She hurts on a level,
None can comprehend.
The truth burns on her skin.
Leaving scars that never mend.

Her sadness,
can no longer be washed away.
As the Scarlet Rain pours down,
And burdens her as it may.

A weight on her chest,
One she cannot bear,
The wind keeps pushing her.
Taking her there.

It pushes her onward,
Downward, and upward.
Wherever the wind blows,
That is where she goes.

The Scarlet Rain,
Continues to pour.
And she wants,
Wants it to be over.

She wants it all to be erased,
To heal, to feel.
She wants to let go,
And be close to something real.

Because this pain,
She has felt for so long,
It can be ended.
If she wants it over and gone.

The Scarlet Rain,
Keeps pouring down.
And the wind,
Beckons her to the ground.

She's washed in it now,
Nowhere to turn.
She lets it all soak in,
And continue to burn.

Beautiful words woven to make a visceral experience for the reader. I am curious about what brought on the sorrow Great write.

Arise my love, my fair one...and come away! For lo, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth..the time of the singing of Birds is come! And the voice of the turtle is 'heard' in OUR land. Jesus is on His way. Hang on! There is going to be a wedding! Our joy will soon begin! In the evening when the camel train comes in! :) Oh get ready! Evening shadows fall! 4real

There isn't much hope in this. It's dark, but I tend to like dark stuff. Great writing!

OH, there's no hope in this! I hope the next in the chain of Scarlet will show a light at the end of the tunnel. This is so dark.

Don't worry dumplin. That's what I'm planning.
