Poem Commentary

This is his true face. If you have seen this, then great trouble is to come in your life. I myself have already been through mine. Long ago when I first look for this in the Ancient Writings I lost my whole family in a great fire, because I had what he wanted. If not for a Priest named Brother Scavonte’, I too would have dead, for that I had to promise never to look for him again and until today I have not. - Unknown […or so the Legend goes.]

Scaroc Leonic Ventorius

[The Lion that Scars the Vein]

"Yea thou I walk in Valley of the Shadow of Death"

I walk in the Dark but I do not walk with it

I am the sewer of Darkness

I am the reaper of Wrath

When all is said and done you will fear me

For I will Scar the Blood that runs through your Veins

Amazing where the mind can go when it is left to wonder.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
