Sea of Lies
A young woman, she tries and tries
to believe every single word
All of them, a sea of lies
something she's always heard
A young man stands alone
listens as she cries
he now knows he's alone
as she slowly but surely dies
Quietly the sad girl fades away
to a place to be alone
standing in place, the man will stay
he'll never hear the phone
day by day, the sad girl tries
to continue her lonely life
remembering that awful sea of lies
and how she's not his wife
The night comes in, the day goes out
and there's nothing worth to try
she loses what's left of her doubt
and decides she now must die
here she sits, alone in the dark
it is here she still cries
death once rang in this park
when she heard her sea of lies
