    Searchin' for Love


    While searching for warmth through the frigid cold,
    I'm runnin' out of time and feeling rather old
    I never thought that you'd be so.....hard to find,
    This winning then losin'.....takin' up all of my time

    I dreamed you, and I saw your face,
    I could see your light, but features out of place
    My wooden heart shall find you, Never.....shall I quit,
    You can sand it down baby.....So it'll never splinter or split

    Like a spark of gold at the bottom of a stream,
    You have to look closely so your.....eyes can see
    If I never find you it was meant to be,
    I'll be lonely in this world, .....and come to see you in my dreams

    The unrelenting soul who searches love. I can realte well to ya man. Sun beaten, and weather by the years on your face you never, EVER give up. The best part is that love, however we mean it to be changes over time and when it does we get that much closer to finding it, although in some cases, its right smakc in our face.... -KING

    "I could see your light, but features out of place" My favorite line. The flow was just completely... Right. Reminds me of Neil Young's Heart of Gold(actually started listening to that since reading this). "If I never find you it was meant to be,//I'll be lonely in this world, .....and come to see you in my dreams" Brilliant. Spoken of acceptance but still, still never giving up... Keeps you searchin' for a heart of gold. :) Beautifully written, my friend, I absolutely loved it.

    I am so glad you liked that line super. Like I can see/feel her essence, but features out of place, reminiscent of a Picasso, I cannot make her out just yet. But she is there. And I love Neil Young, I never thought of the connection with this, but it does fit, listening to Heart of Gold now. Peace. ~Spence
