Season of Trees

Season of Trees

a relic of fire as your leaves reflect the morning sun
a feeling of overwhelming joy
crimson marigold and lingering greens
a peaceful majesty that rustles in the wind
You are like great colorful kings
that watch over us
and remind us
to hold sacred the time of the sun
one by one
you expose your mighty limbs,
You are examples of great sacrifice
shedding that which you need to live
I am eternally grateful for the array of your beauty
this silent bearing
and artful display of transformation

autumn has begun

I like this little tribute to trees and their beauty. Sometimes we forget some of the beautiful transformations made in the seasons, at least I do:)

Thanks you for the comment/rating! Its easy to experience such beauty here in the pacific northwest :)

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
