    See

    I see a lot

    More than she notices

She’s the only person I know

Who spends more time within herself

    Than the real world

When she looks out over the floor

    She’s not looking for anybody

    Just at who’s watching her

Like she were looking into a mirror

    When she dances

She’s not just going through the steps

She’s silently crying out for something

She talks like she wants me gone

But when I offered to fade away

    She said stay

Not in a “I want you manner”

    More like a

    “I need you manner”

    Not my Love

    More like my attention

    My devotion

    The fact that

No matter how much she puts me through

    In the end

    I’m still

    Always there for her

Trying to help her find herself

But she’d rather figure out who she is

    On her own terms

When she looks out over the floor

It’s like she’s looking for somebody else

Trying to make since of the image staring back at her

    Like in a mirror

But she can’t recognize the image staring back at her

    Looking deeper and deeper

    She’s still finding herself

When I look out over the floor

    All I can see

    …Is her

    I’m only looking at her

    Trying to make since

    Of her logic

    I just want her Heart

    I Love her

But she doesn’t understand the value

    Of Love

    Or me

Thanks, I wrote this about my ex. with regret she's too far lost to save. I had to let her go.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
