    seen & unseen

His eyes I could gaze into forever
    And see so many things
    Things you could not know
    Unless you knew him
Of things that once saddened him
But now just flash of flicker through his thoughts
Cautioning him to not cross that path
    In which he once traveled
Thinking things would always be alright
Thinking nothing would ever happen to him
And when it did, he fell apart right before me
The ground which he had planted himself upon
    Was now rocky and unsteady
But slowly he picked himself back up
    Traveling over the rocky ground
All of this can be seen in his eyes
You just have to deep inside of them
His eyes I could gaze into forever
    And see so many things
That to others is yet unseen

wow thats a really touching poem, and greatly written. I really liked it,. I love how you said he slowly picked himself back up.lol i dont but for some reason i really liked that part

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
