    SeReNiTy

    Im not trying to change the world

    Though still, a man can dream

    But dreams, like waves, in tragic ways 

    Smash on a breaker called reality

     

    I’ve lost my faith in people’s words

    Most don’t say what they mean

    Yet still I crave for better days 

    Oh may they soon be seen

     

     I - can - still - dream...

    Of a day when I’ll be free

    To live this life for me

    (Serenity)

     

    We’re growing dumber every day

    As we believe the lies 

    And in between the lies we live

    The lies become our lives

     

    For opportunity I pray

    To break out of the line

    To seize the day, and pave my way

    So that I can truly smile

     

     I - can - still - dream...

    Of a day when I’ll be free

    To live this life for me

    This is a deep lament for freedom, love, honesty, and for humans to be real. All of the freedom we seek is in our thoughts; in the way we think; think yourself differently than the rest and, behold, life begins to change in the direction of your positive thoughts; same goes for negative thinking. Good poem!
