    Shattered

It's work to work up the courage to say love/
It hurts to say goodbye when they want you to stay love/
No matter how many days the pain remains love/
Waitin for the day when you regain the same love/
And the outcome, A eruption of mixed emotion/
A roller coaster of feeling one can't break free from/
The mind is always thinking, question and answer seeking/
worn down and tired with no chances of sleeping/
Visions fill the head with hope it won't get/
The thought to call one more time just wont quit/
Tell yourself you hope all their dreams come true/
truth is your hurt and you want them to hurt too/
Trying to have fun cuz thats how time flies/
Another shot to stop the thoughts from coming by/
Block em out and pretend that they don't matter/
While you repair the heart broken apart shattered/

Keep writing. This really hit home. Plus you have excellent form, rhyme and meter. I like it! Michele

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
