    She Didnt Text Back

Just because I let her in

    Doesn’t mean she Cares

Just because she knows the stories

    Doesn’t mean she understands

Just because I gave her my Heart

    Doesn’t mean she Loves me

Just because she’s in my thoughts

Doesn’t mean she’s thinking about me

I gave her more than she took

She’s a memory in my Heart

    Barley remembered by her

She carries on with her life

    I’ve faded from her attention

    Completely lost to her interest

    I try to tell myself

    It doesn’t hurt

    To see her go

To no longer know her touch

But I can only lie to myself

    For so long

    Truth is

I miss the way she use to make me feel

Now I feel like a burden to her Heart

How is one suppose to act in such a situation

    I keep telling myself

    To continue

    Letting her fade me out

Don’t want to hold her up

    From living her life

    Following her Hearts calling

    Just kinda stings the Heart

To no longer be a part of her life

     She made me Happy

And that’s something hard to find in my life

    So here I lay

    In my bed

    Under candle light

     Torn by the fact

    She never text back

    Truth is

    I need to Cowboy up

    This ride known as life

    Aint over yet

    Just swallow the pain

    Take the sting

    Let it heal over

    Move forward in life

    What more can I do

What a great line "I need to Cowboy up"- That makes the whole piece! Well Done.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
