Poem Commentary

Here's another ride into my corky mind ... lol this is a woven piece of work of the many strong women i've been blessed to encounter in my life's journey... and a tribute to their strength , beauty , and courage.

She, her , woman

I am the she that has been disrespected.
The her that society has rejected.
I am the women who has been judged unfairly.
The great parts of me they show rarely.

I am the she that's talked about negatively .
The her they drown her femininity .
I am the woman who is outlet for verbal abuse.
The strength in me they out-rightly refuse.

I am the she who's growth's been stunted.
the her that innards scream to be blunt.
I am the woman , they put out my light.
The beauty many try to keep out of sight.

I am the she who's knowledge is made to be a joke.
The her who's brain they prod and poke.
I am the woman who births all colors of nations.
The direct descendant of royalty Patience.

I am the she who has been misunderstood.
The her that succeeded , when they never thought i should.
I am the woman racism threatens to divide.
The one they try to push into suicide.

I am the she they call out of my name.
The her ,who makes my man have no shame.
I am the woman naturally beautiful, original full figured.
The one who's not difficult to be remembered.

I am the she & very key of your mysterious curiosity.
The her who's eyes deflects inferiority.
I am the woman God sent to be your mate.
The reason attraction & flirtation counteract hate.

I am the she that others claim to be.
The her  your jealousy blinds you from seeing.
I am the woman made to heal your pains.
The one who shares your reigns .

I am the she that raises your seeds
The her that is submissive enough to plead.
I am the woman who knows your flaws & it doesn't matter at all.
The one who will rise with you, and fall.

I am the she who carries generations of greatness.
The her that shoulders injustice with finesse
I am the woman who carries the rib to complete you.
The one who paints your world happy when your blue.

I am the she , they hold back my crown.
The her , they get happy to make me frown.
I am the woman ,who's pedestal was stolen.
The one that showed them i'm tough enough to keep going.

I am the she who is your mirror.
The her that helps you see clearer.
I am the woman who is your sounding board.
The one who's love you try to hoard.

Beautiful, powerful words. This is an exquisitely written invitation or call to recognition. All of us have felt in some form or fashion that we have been taken for granted, under rated , or under valued and yet stayed strong and kept on going. You have captured the strength and poignancy of this state. Well done....................E

Thank you and as usual well spoken , and portrayed / when i wrote this piece i thought of many strong women , who have not been portrayed in a good light , have not been given the respect they deserve , nor the recognition of the many humble good works they do everyday , not just the one they are celebrated on .

Glad you only feel like this poem sometimes , that it's not your norm ... through awareness we can teach the world to respect women of all creeds , religions , levels of diversity ...
