then back
sunlight to sustenance
watch them disassemble
bent or broken
severed lifelines
not bleeding
no show of life leaving
nobody knowing
if they will die standing still
for years to come
leaves pile haphazard
unaware
of their endless ramble
dessicated remnants
of past lives
trampled underfoot
which will not see a new day
but will be replaced
a memory
barely revealed
