    I was going through papers from my German class last year and found this poem and one other

    Shooting Star

    As I wish on that shooting star

    I think of my love being sent so very far

    Oh my brilliant love

    Sent back above

    My angel of light

    Just out of sight

    Oh as I cry

    I pray to die

    But we could never be

    For she is too good for me

    I love it, although I feel that to familiar pang of bitter sorrow coming from it I have to say it is beautifully sculpted. the image is directly to the point and the meaning crystal clear. but do not loose heart because sometimes in order to see our own worth we have to get out of someone else's shadow. no one is too good for anyone else we are all imperfect beings with mistakes and flaws, failures and failed attempts but its not those things that make us who we are, its what is in our hearts and souls. that is what matters the most and if they truly love you all the other stuff will not matter.
