Silence

Silence

crys and screams from your past
surround your soul and heart
chocking on good memories in life
you can run as fast as you can
but it seems as if
your going nowhere
suddenly you fall down,down
down in the darkness
your eyes open
your in a room full of people
dancing and laughing
but theres no sound
reaching out,the scene fades
and turns into a funeral its yours
crying out for help, but no one hears
your life flashes and your in an empty white room
fears take control and then a slow tick is heard
tick....tick....tick....
gasping for air,your life ends
in the dead of silence

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
