    Poem Commentary

This peice came into form at the tender age of 13. It has a beautiful melody that fits it perfect.

    Silence

Silence like the night it surrounds me, and the lonely chills me to the core. The love that once was can't be and the warmth I had is no more.

Take these chains from my heart, let me love some. I can't live like this anymore the past is over and done with but the lonely chills me to the core.

My soul is a hollow dark shadow behind this smile is a tear, I wear this face for someone but that someone brings out my fear.

But in the silence of the night that surrounds me it  all becomes crystal clear ......

It's hard to believe that this is from 13; I couldn't put together a coherent sentence at that age. Excellence abounds in this piece

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
