Silence

Silence

Silent,

They’re always silent,

They didn’t know what

To say when you went,

They still don’t know.

They don’t see the pain

And the deep sadness,

I’m always in the rain

Because you’re gone.

Don’t they see?!

Words mean nothing to me,

Not then, not now, not ever!

I’m screaming to just let me be!

But only inside,

Outside, it’s all silence…

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
