Silent Screams

Silent Screams

Such a beautiful day
The sun in shining
The breeze light and carefree
A day of new beginnings
For someone other than me

New beginnings
Only bring another round
False hope and visions
Endless possibilities
Of what could be
For someone other than me

Give me my shadows
Where the light can not reach
Better to stay in the dark
Always watching but never seen
Silent screams

Safe in the darkness
I am not lost
For I don’t want to be found
No more broken dreams
All that is left of me
Is in the darkness
Of silent screams

The freedom one finds in the darkness, can imprison you as well. Intriguing piece - 10 from me

Haha I like how you warped that beginning. Leading them into a pretty cookie cut scene, then snatching them down the alleyways of shadows. [Always watching but never seen] Indeed shadows perceive much....not easily trusting. Enjoyed the read.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
