    Silhoutte

    "Silhouette, silhouette upon my wall,
why do you get shoved and then you fall?"

    "Silhouette, silhouette upon my wall,
you sound like my mommy, all pretty and tall."

    "Silhouette, silhouette upon my wall,
I see you lying in the shadows of the hall."

    "Silhouette, silhouette upon my wall,
get up mommy! I see you crawl."

    "Silhouette, silhouette upon my wall,
please don't cry, I'll make the call."

    "Silhouette, silhouette upon my wall,
It will be okay, everything I saw."

    "Silhouette, silhouette upon my wall,
I see you smile as you hug my doll."

    "Silhouette, silhouette upon my wall,
Thank you for being strong for I am too small."

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
