    silver bird dove

my entire body ached to hold him,how can i stand it?
    it's a god damned feeling,so i'll just quit.
if you've experienced a stretch of life
then you too have felt a piece of pain.
one lasting love is all i've wished to gain.
only this emotion is a darkened stain.
he was my one desire who drowned out the internal fire.
but lady karma spins in fast little circles
wheeling justice to be served, where she deems it well deserved.
she spins the wheel to tell of his fate.
a face of steel, the look could devastate.
"be this the slate of the present acused,
well worthy of hate full forced from the abused."
if i might an idea to state,if you will something quite irate.
"be you the one suffered by the hand
of this person,do take your stand"
well you to be fare i've heard it told
so ask i dare that i may scold.
his world i'd spare, not to be bold but my idea is simply gold.
you see,in a familiar place he would be
only now to trace said love given me.
now in my opinion this would be plenty,
and perhaps for him a bit much mentally.
too bad it would scar were it too tough.
believe i know, for i've been there the same rough stuff.
then with my baby his world and the rest,
waving good-bye and wishing my best.
hoping he finds a new word love,
i'd fly away the siver bird dove.

Tyke - Glad to see you back my friend! I really like this piece. Filled with a sad emotion, but yet ... conveys a strength at the same time. Great Job! Ken

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
