Poem Commentary

TOO ALL MY HATERS:  Love me or hate me for my lack of words, guess what.....I'm still here.

Simple and Plain

I’m just a simple guy as anyone can plainly see

People ask me why, I’d say “That’s just me”

Why complicate my life with big ass words?

Trying to pronounce them would be absurd

I’m just simple and plain

Would it be insane to take that claim?

I think not, because it’s easier on the brain

The world is full of twists and turns enough

Filling its head with complicated stuff

Maybe that’s the reason some go insane

Because they got complications on the brain

Using big ass words wouldn’t impress me

I’d only be piss'd 'cause then I would have to look for a dictionary

Still, I would learn the words just in case

Just to keep that flabbergasted look off my face

You can keep the complications’ claim

While I remain the same

Simple and Plain

Very well written and very amusing. I feel this is truly you .

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
