Poem Commentary

What a wonderful feeling to have a song burst forth, that started in confusion and defeat and yet by the end is a triumph of realization....

Sing the Verse - The Universe

How is he never still and ways too well known,
who robs, to call and demand us His own!
This one who from the dawn of spiraling time,
has strip-ripped and reigned to weary mans mind.

How to ignore-this claim deemed so sure,
he's locked us up but has no key,
two eyes stare transfixed - in mock jealousy...

He has driven this race from perfection,
                                               so complete,
having shifted our attention - the Lies, the deceit!

He props our ego and drives our pride
full pedal to the flag, so abreast our stride.
We guess when finished to have he time...
Then we Hide!
We dodge all known ways to right our course
and we plead coercion for means to remorse.

So prideful the game, that bids show disdain,
for all those who slow-choosing sure paths to go,
all who claim too hear chorus
                                      and who walk in refrain.
Who walked thru eternity and dared to claim,
they have the right too discredit his name...

He is afoul of right snd surely to fall,
 in sight of the strongest, yet;
In reach of them all...
He's last to call the willing, the able and strong.
Last to reach-touch and preach,
"that most aged of songs".

In searching, I find we've yet to uncover,
the vast storehouse in each, when reached by another.
He gave His promise and took a chance,
stretched himself - crossed a tree
for you and for me, He by Himself
                                    changed unaltered circumstance.

And He, with opportunity and season,
offers and open to many a reason - too be thankful,
to walk sure, to follow a path and not roam.
To be called from the dark
                               and to be welcomed, home!
