    Single

     who said being single
    was less complicated
    didn't have a life 
    like me
    being single 
    your suppose to feel free
    so why are these shackles on me
    being single
    you have the right to be happy
    with a smile on my face
    and a frown on my heart
    being single 
    you wanted to be alone
    but why do you feel so lonely
    single yah all by yourself
    or with the million and two people
    that want a piece of you to themselves
    being single 
    your a target 
    you live in fear
    never knowing who to trust
    who to love 
    or what to feel
    Don't want to get hurt
    but don't want to be by yourself
    Isn't that what being
    single is all about
    or is it just word of mouth
    Did all this come from someone who couldn't feel
    or from a single person who could no longer determine what is real
    It's funny how when being single 
    your suppose to be "finding yourself"
    Didn't even know you were lost
    but hey who am i to speak 
    i'm single too
    so how can i really say what i 
    write it true...
