    Poem Commentary

    This poem is actually about anorexia nervosa (the constant companion who somehow meets the emotional needs of the women who have this disorder). Still kinda needs some fine tuning, not one of my better peices of work, or one that I'm totally satisfied or happy with

    Sleeping Beauty

     Darkness decends
    paranoid delusions
    expectations rake
    overturn the deep soil
    of my underground world
    will sleeping beauty wake?

    nothing to lose
    nothing to gain
    nothing to live for
    nothing but pain

    my constant companion
    friends we face the world alone
    never lets me down
    the only thing that I can trust

    slowly I walk the road of death
    killing myself to find perfection
    nothing I am is ever good enough
    no matter who admires me
    I will never satisfy myself
