    Poem Commentary

     This was my first published Poem, it has done very well around the world. It is in my book, and published in poetry books with other poets,
    as well been published in several magazines. It has also been displayed in many churches and hospitals around the United States.
    It was written for a very dear friend, that passed away from colon cancer.

    I hope this poem brings inspiration to all my readers...

    Sleeping With Angels

     
    As I lie down
    in my bed
    with angels beside me,

    I close my eyes
    then suddenly
    I can hear them
    softly breathing.

    I hear their
    gentle whispers
    the flutter of
    their wings,

    I feel the warmth
    of their closeness,

    Calmness and serenity
    surround us,

    With eyes closed,
    we say goodnight,

    Peace be with us
    till morning light.

    This is enlightening! I love how you painted this picture and feelings of lying with angels in bed at night. Beautiful and soft rhythm. Very comforting! I want to read this to my child at bedtime. 10 from me.

    This poem flows so well another enjoyable read from a talented poetess. When you have time I wrote a poem about a different type of angel called "The Angel Of Light" would love to hear your thoughts.

    I believe in angels and I know they exist and they help ride us thru the storms of life that sometimes come suddenly. I actually felt that this poem was a song of the lullabye genre. Thank you and may your dreams be peaceful.
