Slumber Bliss

Far from home is what we feel,
For life is uncertain, it all seems unreal.
Lives are gone, but in our hearts they remain,
For their sacrifices will not be in vain.
We must go on through each passing day
Living our lives through each pray, we say.
We pray for their souls and the souls of
The unjust, hoping one day it will
Settle the dust.
The sky seems empty but only to the eye
For all the souls who have perished
Are dimly floating bye. Be free my
Friends up in the sky, for justice
Will be swift. Then you will be
At peace in your slumber bliss.

I've tried more than once to write about the feelings surrounding lost loved ones, but nothing ever seems to come. Perhaps it's because I lack the forgiving/accepting spirit you display here.

you have a way with words that paints a picutrewe can see. I like the way your words flow in this. Very nicely done.
