Snow Fall

Poem Commentary

ok so my inspiration for this poem was the weather outside. It is snowing like crazy here. And also my favorite author Julia Quinn, and her book Romancing Mr. Bridgerton

Snow Fall

The snow falls heavy and silent,
At time it even seems violent.

It blankets the ground like a thick quilt,
It blows from the north at a horizontal tilt.

Christmas is coming,
But the oncoming chill is numbing.

The wind whips the snow,
With a great big howling blow.

I watch from inside,
As I sit by the fireside.

I watch the flames dance,
And read a book of romance.

I wait for Colin Bridgerton to realize,
That Penelope Featherington is his prize.

As I get lost in my book,
I take one last look,

As the snow falls heavy and silent.

Thank you Dah!!! That is what I was aiming for when I wrote it! I love that you enjoyed it, especially since you write the most amazing poems yourself!!!

There is nothing so relaxing as watching the falling snow from inside one's warm abode, and reading something soothing. Quite a lovely poem, Alexia.........................................................g
