So Close

Nothing fills my head,
Except for thoughts of you.
Every time I turn around
another thought is bright and new.

I can't get your touch and voice out of my head,
the smell and feel of you laying next to me in bed,
the way you make me giggle foolishly
and listen to all I say,
makes me wonder
why i didn't end up with you at the end of every day.

You make me smile and laugh and live,
more than anything ever has.
I try to make you take from me,
just as much as you give,
but you won't let me,
like my giggles are enough.

You occupy my brain while I sleep and wake,
and every time I think of you
I wonder if we are making a mistake.
You feel to me so real and true,
I could make my soulmate out of you.

We are on the same wavelength,
your thoughts and mine intertwine.
we no longer have to talk, because,
well we are in each others' minds,

but again, are we making a mistake?
should we stop everything right here?
Or should we be foolish and take a leap?
Not caring who we hurt on the way?

your situation is undesirable,
and yet so is mine.
for us to be together
a lot of hearts we would unbind.

So is it worth all those we hurt,
at the chance of happiness for us?
Or should we continue to love
In only warm and sweet thoughts?
