So Cold

    So Cold

We used to have a passion that flowed through our veins
Now it seems like it always rains

The ache in my heart burns so severe
When he acts like he doesn't care

I crave his touch and his tenderness
But now all I have is loneliness

One good day can't make up the many bad
He just doesn't understand why I am so sad

I love him with all my soul
Why does he have to be so cold?

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
