Poem Commentary

[ WRITTEN for Jared age 9]

Soccer is a maniac’s game

I felt a surge of energy,

Combined oppositions all synergy?

The forces by others interrupted me.

The wind in my face kept me in place

All filled up by the crowded space.

My acquired skills immerging impart.

My individual efforts, the big start.

Whatever that may impart.

Passing the ball in an quick jerk,

My interaction a forward thrust,

A teammate kicked the ball into the net,

The opposition did not effect or denigrate.

The final victory culminate,

As the referee’s whistle gives a blast

Victory for our team, at last.

Oh well! The pen in your masterly hands is mightier than a soccer game. Well done!

On you are the CatsMeow...LOL, I have a friend who plays soccer she would love this! I have an appreciation for the thrill of this pen from watching her play. Cheers, great work.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
