    Poem Commentary

    This poem is kind of a 21st century version of a bible story. When Jesus was making a big to do the Pharisees sent spys to see what he was up to. So here it is , the gospel according to monkyntz.

    SOME KIND OF NUT
    so not to be mistaken as believers
    let me explain why we came
    we're only curious spectators
    who've heard of some outrageous claims

    we find it just too hard to swallow
    like why did the blind come to see
    and how many miles did the cripple
    travel to disgard his cane

    i think it's time we were leaving
    we've already seen quite enough
    i suppose next he'll try walking on water
    or maybe some slight of hand stuff

    he must be some kind of nut
    did you see that hair and that beard
    i just hope that our friends didn't see us
    they might think that we're just as wierd
