    Some Peace

    I've been swimming,
    In this ocean of confusion,
    I've been drifting,
    Blind for way too long...
    All I see,
    Are the images inside my mind,
    I feel so weak,
    Though I'm expected to be strong...

    I can't stand the thoughts,
    Gathering in my head,
    It's hard to control,
    The impulses I feel...
    I'm suffocating slowly,
    I can't take it anymore,
    Is this all a dream,
    Or is it real?

    What if I acted on,
    Each idea I had?
    What would be,
    A way I could be free?
    If life is just a ride,
    I feel like getting off,
    All I really want,
    Is just some peace...

    I feel that the entire poem was very strong with the exception of the ending, but I also feel that perhaps could have been an intentional play done to show you done have the peace which you search for. In either regards you have a great thing going on here, dont doubt it.

    Some torments must be faced with the anxiousness of a cornered rabbit staring into the sharp teeth of a pack of hounds at bay... They cannot be shut out, just closing our eyes... A good write...

    Keli, this is a cool poem. I like it a lot. Really makes me stop and think. Good use of imagery. It's like I'm floating in the ocean one minute and on a carnival ride the next. I, too, have had similar feelings. Not sure what is real and what is illusion. There have been times that I was dreaming and it felt so real and other times that I just wished it was all just a dream. Very thought provoking. I really like your style. You are very talented.
