    Someday vs. Today
    maybe someday
    my smile will wake me up
    maybe someday
    my heart will throb with love
    maybe someday
    I will know I am enough

    but not today.

    maybe someday
    the bills will get paid on time
    maybe someday
    I'll be loved and treated kind
    maybe someday
    I won't come home and cry

    but not today

    maybe someday
    I'll believe in God's love again
    maybe someday
    these thoughts won't haunt my head
    maybe someday...
    but it's never today

    so the hell with someday

    maybe today
    I will scream for relief
    maybe today
    I will run my car into something very big at top speed
    maybe today
    I'll go jump off a bridge

    but....

    maybe...
    today...
    I should pray
    instead

    I think fat ladies should be forever barred from singing. It should never be over. There are a lot of four letter words, but I think the word hope should have the strongest effect of them all, Some day is all we are looking for. whether it's the ship or the prince. There is always a blue lite special at k-mart.

    And I feel the same way and maybe someday we will be at home to stay but I wish it happened yesterday.. But i am forced to to breath one more day and all i can do is be angry and pray..

    I can soooo relate to that - happiness is always deferred unless you choose it in spite of circumstances :)

    I like that there is some levity in this piece. We all get overwhelmed at times, and allow our thoughts to go to an extreme. Then we rationalize the situation, and come up with a better idea. Nicely done.
