    Someone to know me

    At first it seems shocking,
But now the idea intrigues my curiosity.
I am so far beyond my abilities,
    To rationailze or resist.
I want to be with you!
I want to wake each morning,
    Only in your arms.
I want to find comfort in the oddness,
And be seduced by your knowledge of my ways.
I want to care for you,
    In ways uncommon.
I want to be there to put lotion on your scars,
And kiss you as the air grows cold.
I want to watch your eyes close at the end of the day,
    Heavy like a childs;
With all the things that filled your day....

I am happy you like it. Hopefully I will have more soon that you will like as well as I have finally found that "someone" to know me. He is an inspiration.

it sounds as if you are talking of someone you know, but judging from the title it is someone you wish to know. very intriguing and thought provoking piece. I especially like the line about the lotion and scars. A lot of poets would be afraid to write that which makes it all the more effective. Very nice work!

I have just logged in after months of being gone. I am glad you appreciate my work. I have never been on to "stay within the lines" when it comes to writing. I only write what I feel.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
