    Something Dear to me

When the world is sleeping I feel alone
because there is no one calling me on the phone
even though you are far away our friendship will always stay
you have told me things that no one believes
you thought I would feel the same
but something was different about me
because I did not judge you do you see
I believe you because you believe me
and that is the way a friendship should be
when we talk I know I can tell you any thing and I want you to feel the same
I did not laugh when you told me those things
I never will as long as your here
you are a good friend and very dear to me

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
