    "Something Missing"

I dream of a much better life
when pain will be at an end
though I have the best of wives
and the best of real good friends
there is something missing

when pain really starts to get me down
and life seems too hard to bear
I try my best to remove my frown
thinking of those who really care
I try to think of something pleasant

don't get me wrong
I try to be strong
it sometimes wears me out
I want my life to be
more than pain defining me
and what I'm all about

I won't bitch about the breaks I've had
about doctors everywhere
that judge me wrong and let themselves
decide they don't have the time to care

still I dream of a painless life
and not reality
thinking of feeling fine
yet still I have to see
there is something missing
that could help to set me free
