    Something Strange

Though many think change is strange
    No one can emphatically deny
That as time and circumstances rearrange
It’s a must we give change a try

    It’s understood that a baby’s diaper
Has to be changed to get rid of the stink
But yet in many things we get hyper
When of social change we are forced to think

We don’t think it strange to get a divorce
When a marriage is no longer productive
Yet we continue the trickle down economic course
That has proven to Many to be so destructive

In so many things we spare no expense
    To bring about and rearrange
Our wants desires with zeal so intense
Because in personal things we want change

Then when it comes to the uniform good
For all humanity we then look at change
In the promotion of unity and brotherhood
We look at change as something strange

    H. Wilson

Since I believe that eBooks and eBook libraries are the future in electronic presentations most of my work will be presented electronically only books that I’ve written to leave as a legacy will be printed the old fashion way. I don’t know whether it is the baby boom, the shape of the economy or more access to computers that is creating the explosion of new and talented writers. Writers of poetry and short stories are popping out of the woodwork faster than cockroaches breed over night or termites eat up untreated wood. I think it’s time for change and I’ve done it my way, which by the way, I think is the best way. Your poem is thought provoking, a real mix-master of ideas, I can feel the vibration of the blender. Thanks for sharing, LOL, BDC

I love this poem. Its so true. I have thought what you so eloquently put down! It really says a lot that people dont see on their own. Its an eye opener. Thats always good!

Thank you both for reading my humble works

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
