    Sorrowful

    Rose red streaks to bring a second of peace.

    My special release.

    A danger so beautiful.

    Sharp yet dull.

    Painful but gentle.

    That is my lullaby tonight.

    So many whispers;

    Debating right and wrong.

    My heart is singing a sorrowful song.

    Your love..

    I don’t deserve.

    My pain..

    Is result of my own mistakes.

    Your eyes..

    Will burn my soul tomorrow;

    And you won’t even try.

    My own guilt is what burns me.

    I made a promise..

    After it was too late.

    I’ll live..

    But this will kill everything inside of me.

    I lied..

    And my metallic twisted beauty..

    Got the best of me.

    Internal thoughts released! Pain and beauty gently caress!

    Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
