    Soulmate

The world is a sweeter place because of your loving ways,

The colors are brighter; the flowers smell sweeter too,

I thought you’d never get here and almost gave up hope,

Regardless of hurts long past, love saved the best for last,

    Walk not so silently,

    Cry not so loudly,

Just rest in my arms and I’ll protect from harm,

‘Till only the dust is left of you and I: The dust of endless days.
