Spirit of the Wolf
Disheartened-hear me my animal spirit,
guardian advisor,
your voice guides me
beyond these troubled waters.
Hidden,
intertwined within
Shadow's embrace;
speak to me,
lift my spirits,
teach me to
dance in unison
to musical breezes;
song of the night.
My voice
longs to life-
speak to my my pack,
howls free from humanistic impersonation;
am I and you one?
When eyes closed, open-
will I run
across open meadows,
the taste of fresh kill,
scent of death:
will the animal
contained within me
at last be free?
Wolf-
O'brother of my soul
I hear-I answer
I embrace.
