    Spirit Torn

What am I but a vessel.
I am scornful of my surroundings.
Even when hatred and evil consumes my soul.
My heart shines on and tells me do good.
A dark soul with a heart of gold.
I can care less for the people around me.
And yet I would give my life to save them.
    Even when I bring death.
I show mercy when there is none to give.
    I hate you.
    And yet I love you.
    My blood boils around you.
But my body is cool and calm.
What must I do to be rid of this chaos.
