    Poem Commentary

Another satire just in time for MLK jr. Day. I mean, seriously, when will the world realize that if we were all one color, we'd be the most boring species of creatures on Earth. 'There's a target to our tint, a scheme to our shades. If we don't embrace it and enjoy it, then we'll never be the same.' -That totally should've been in the poem... DRAT!!!

    Spot the Difference

One of these things is not like the other,
One of these things just isn't the same,
When you spot any difference in one of your brothers,
The best thing to do is just shout out it's name,

If you know somebody who has a slightly different face
Then it's obvious to us that they are out of they're place
They've got freckles, they've got pimples,
they've got warts or they've got zits
Then you should condemn them for their troubles,
their as weird as it gets,

    If you notice someone different,
    who has slightly different skin,
Then rebuke them, it doesn't suit them
It just doesn't fit the trend.

There's no way we can get together,
for you're skin is slightly burnt,
We're much smarter, it's not part of
any thing that we have learn't.

Of all the things that we should know,
of shades of light and dark,
We should notice, this whole time
What only matters is the heart

Great message... and interesting way of relaying it. I see why your name is GeniusMan... you manage to find the cleverest ways of getting your messages across, which makes for very enjoyable reading. Keep it up!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
