I long for that first warm enough day,

warm enough I can roll

the windows down

and let the wind charge me,

lift me into a dance.

Hair flying everywhere,

screeching to distorted music,

breathing deep like in a great run

between the oak and cedar,

not passing nearby at sixty five.

I will feel again,    Alive.

a balloon running from a pin,

     playing chicken with the sun.

Love the sentiments you pen. I'm ready for spring too. Except I live in Alaska so I'll have to wait until May. The picture really helps to add the delightful feel of your poem. Thanks for sharing. Love Light Patty

this is exactly wat i love about the frist day of spring! U clearly love spring and love the feeling it carries! Great job and great work!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
