    starlight, starbright...

    starlight, starbright...
    evenings starry eyes
    illuminate my hearts intrinsic supplication
    gilded lanterns fill the skies
providing the warmth of a most slight elation
esoteric thoughts unfold into haunting dreams
only to awaken into sunlit frustration
    realities bittersweet rebuttal
    to a chimerical plea
    whispered ever so subtle.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
