    Starlings Song

    I watch the ripples
    fade away,
    as dew drops fall
    to start the day.

    This mornings' Starling
    splashes, then sings,
    and waits to see
    just what it brings.

    Summers berries
    and shadows longer,
    the Starlings song
    a little stronger.

    In the garden
    leaves turned red
    and gathered twigs
    the Starlings bed.

    Cold and tired ,
    snowflakes fall,
    at last,
    another
    Starlings' call.

Beautiful verse about an often disliked bird-They were first brought to America from Europe-they hang out with mobs usually-I like to see/hear them myself-Namaste...Earthly

What an outstanding poem. The feeling that a nature scene emits is always well appreciated. This is simply beautiful in richly poetic. Thank you for sharing :))

So hopeful! I must admit, I got a little teary eyed on the last line. Well done! Absolutely deserves a 10!

The wings of this tiny Sparrow carries us through the movement of Seasons, marking time natures way! I love this! Great Poem!

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
